Lichess
Analyse your lichess games
Your games, graded move by move in your own browser — and then read together, which is the part a single-game board cannot do.
Analyse a Lichess gameHow it works
Type your lichess username on the home page and your recent games are listed — the same public export anyone can read, with no login and no token to grant. Pick one and Stockfish grades every move: a fast pass over the whole game first, then a deeper look at the moments that decided it.
The engine is downloaded to your browser and runs on your own processor. Your games are not uploaded, stored on a server, or seen by anybody else, because nothing in the analysis sends them anywhere.
What lichess already does well
It is worth being straight about this. Lichess gives you unlimited computer analysis, free, on the same engine, with no account required and no daily limit — and it is open source. If what you want is one game analysed, use it; nothing here beats it at that.
This site exists for the question that comes after: not what went wrong in this game but what keeps going wrong in my games.
What reading many games together shows
- The mistakes that repeat. Twenty games reviewed at once, with the errors sorted by how often they happen and what they cost — hanging pieces, losing the exchange, missing a defensive resource.
- The openings that cost you. Your record and your accuracy by opening, tied to a page about each one with the traps people fall into.
- When on the clock you go wrong. The moves you play instantly and the moves you play in time trouble are two different weaknesses, and they are separated here rather than averaged together.
- Puzzles from your own blunders. The positions you actually got wrong, played back to you until you find the move you missed.
Bring a game over
Type your username or paste a PGN — free, no account, nothing uploaded. Chess.com games work the same way, and the comparison page explains how this differs from a paid review. If you only want to know where one game went wrong, the blunder check is the short way round.
Questions people ask
Can I analyse my lichess games here?
Yes. Type your lichess username and your recent games are listed; pick one and every move is graded by Stockfish running in your browser. You can also paste a PGN exported from lichess, or from anywhere else.
Is this better than the analysis on lichess?
For a single game, no — lichess's own analysis is free, unlimited and excellent, and it is the same engine. This is for the questions a single-game board does not answer: what mistakes you keep repeating across twenty games, which openings cost you, and whether you go wrong when you rush or when you run low on clock.
Do I need to connect my lichess account?
No. Only the public game list for the username you type is fetched, exactly as anyone could read it. There is no login, no token, no permission to grant, and nothing is posted back to lichess.
