Hangs a piece now and then. Best for practising the lessons.

Questions
How strong is the bot?

It is Stockfish, the same engine that grades your games, but it does not always play its best move. The Beginner setting often plays a sensible move and sometimes a random one, so it hangs pieces and misses threats the way a newer player does. Club player rarely makes a free mistake. None of them is rated: they are tuned to be good practice, not to match a rating.

What does “warn me” do?

After your move, the engine checks how much the move gave away. If it was a lot, the bot waits instead of replying, tells you what it could now do (take your knight, deliver mate), and offers to take your move back. If the engine cannot point to something concrete, it says so rather than inventing a reason.

Is anything uploaded?

No. The engine runs in your browser and the game stays there. If you choose “Analyse this game”, the game is carried to the analyser in the page address, and that goes nowhere either.

Free, and staying that way
